The Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, had attended a dialogue session with industry players in Johor titled “Engaging Industry, Shaping Solutions”, organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) and facilitated by FOZ One, aimed at strengthening collaboration in addressing labour-related challenges and operational issues.
The session was attended by more than 80 industry players from various sectors across Johor, including representatives from the Johor branch of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA), demonstrating strong industry participation and a collective commitment to constructive engagement with the government.
The dialogue served as a platform to bring together government and industry stakeholders to exchange views, share on-the-ground realities, and identify practical, forward-looking solutions to current labour constraints. Discussions focused on key issues affecting industry operations, including workforce shortages, rising costs, and the need to remain competitive in an evolving economic landscape. The session also explored ways to enhance existing processes, improve coordination among relevant agencies, and ensure more efficient and timely approvals.
Through this engagement, both KDN and industry players reaffirmed the importance of maintaining a balanced approach — one that supports business continuity while upholding good governance, national security, and the welfare of workers.
The session reflects a shared commitment to strengthen collaboration and drive continuous improvements in labour management frameworks, with the ultimate goal of supporting sustainable economic growth.
