Danga Park Received 10,000 Visitors on Its Opening Night

Following the announcement by Dato Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor, regarding the opening of Taman Teluk Danga to the public beginning 29th May 2026, it was said that the response received on the first night was extraordinary.

State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, in its Facebook post, said that until 09:30 pm, a total of 7,000 visitors arrived at the new recreational park and by 11:00 pm, the attendance was about 10,000 people.

“This very encouraging attendance proves the excitement of the people to enjoy a modern, quality and international standard public space that now belongs to the people of Johor.”

With iconic attractions such as the Sky Bridge, which offers beautiful views of the Straits of Johor, Tiger Play, a children’s playground, Dry Water Play, Island Landscape, and a green leisure boulevard, Taman Teluk Danga has now emerged as another new landmark of Johor and a recreational destination of choice for the whole family.

“I thank His Royal Highness Tunku Mahkota Ismail, Regent of the Sultan of Johor, for his approval of the opening of Taman Teluk Danga to be enjoyed by the entire Johor people,” he added.

Jafni also extended his congratulations to the mayor of Johor Bahru and all the members of the Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) who have worked hard to make the development of Taman Teluk Danga a success.

“This success is the result of commitment, planning and continuous efforts in providing the best public facilities for the people of Johor,” he said, wishing that the Danga Park continued to be the pride of the Johor people and one of the main attractions in conjunction with Visit Johor Year 2026.

Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) has advised the public for the public to plan their visit wisely.

Beginning 30th May 2026, Danga Park will operate daily from 7.30 am to 11.00 pm.

Last entry for:

  • Daytime at 6.00 pm.
  • Nighttime at 10.30 pm.

Danga Park will be temporarily closed from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm to make way for maintenance works.

Entry is FREE for all Malaysian citizens, but visitors are required to bring their identity card/MyKid for verification purposes at the entrance.

For passport holders, the entrance fee is as follows:

  • RM20 (adults)
  • RM10 (children 5 to 12 years old)
