The Peninsular Safari Challenge 2026 Johor (Southern Zone) will be held for three days from 21st to 23rd August 2026 at Felda Redong 1, Segamat, Johor, and will be officiated by Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Member of Parliament for Sekijang.
This event, organised by the Johor State Four-Wheel Driving Association, is expected to bring together approximately 100 participants from Johor and other states to compete for places in three competition categories: Medium Core Open, Litecore Supernovis – Short Wheel Base (SWB), and Litecore Supernovis – Long Wheel Base.
The event also includes several Special Stages (SS) that present a variety of challenges, testing not only the machinery’s capabilities, but also the participants’ technical skills, strategies, accuracy, and teamwork in completing each route provided.
“The Peninsular Safari Challenge not only tests the capabilities and endurance of the machinery, but it also requires skills, strategies, and teamwork from the participants.”

We hope that this organisation can provide a challenging competition experience for participants while also strengthening the spirit of sportsmanship and relationships within the four-wheel drive community,” stated Atan Aris, President of the Johor Four-wheel Drive Association.
The ability to make decisions and adapt strategies based on route conditions is also important in determining participant performance. Safety concerns are also addressed, with each vehicle required to undergo a technical inspection before participating in the competition.
The inspection aims to ensure that the machinery used meets competition requirements and safety standards, allowing four-wheel drive sports to be conducted in a more organised and responsible manner.
Felda Redong 1 has been chosen as the venue, allowing participants, families, crews, and 4×4 enthusiasts from outside Segamat to learn more about the area.
The presence of visitors during the three-day competition is expected to benefit the local community and increase economic activity in the surrounding area.
“We see this event as a platform for the development of four-wheel drive sports, as well as an opportunity to bring the outside community to Felda Redong 1 and benefit the local community and traders.
The participation of the local community is critical in ensuring that this event has a positive impact on the surrounding area,” said Atan Aris.
The Peninsular Safari Challenge 2026 Johor (Southern Zone), with participation from Johor and other states, is expected to serve as a platform to promote the development of four-wheel drive sports while also strengthening relationships among 4×4 community activists and enthusiasts.
In addition to Felda Redong 1 and the local community, this event is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Malaysian Four-Wheel Driving Association.
The public, particularly motorsports enthusiasts and the 4×4 community, are invited to watch the participants compete at Felda Redong 1, Segamat, Johor, from 21st to 23rd August 2026.
