The Ministry of National Unity has announced that applications for admission to Tabika Perpaduan for the 2027 session is currently open until 31st August 2026 and can be submitted online.

Tabika Perpaduan offers quality preschool education with a structured curriculum to prepare children for the school environment in Primary One. Starting in 2026, Tabika Perpaduan will implement the 2026 Preschool Curriculum, which emphasises the holistic development of children in terms of cognitive, emotional, character, as well as values of unity and nationhood.

To date, there are 1,781 Tabika Perpaduan nationwide with a total of 34,817 students, making this institution one of the important platforms for building the foundation of early education as well as fostering a spirit of unity among children from a young age.

The admission requirements for these Kindergartens are open to Malaysian citizens who have a Birth Certificate and MyKad and are aged four (4) to six (6) years old. Preference is also given to applicants whose residence or parents’ workplace is within 10 kilometres of the Tabika Perpaduan location.

Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Minister of National Unity, said that these Kindergartens are being strengthened through the Unity Kindergarten Early Childhood Education Plan 2021–2030, which is a strategic initiative of the Ministry of National Unity to give a boost and renewed vitality to early childhood education programmes under the ministry. This plan aims to strengthen the role of these Kindergartens as institutions that not only develop children’s potential comprehensively but also shape a generation with a love for the country and who practice noble values in daily life.

This plan encompasses comprehensive reinforcement covering aspects of curriculum, teaching and learning methods, teacher professionalism development, governance, collaboration with the community, as well as a more effective monitoring system. Six main pillars have been outlined to achieve these goals, including strengthening elements of nationhood, unity, and noble values in the curriculum, enhancing the professionalism of Tabika Perpaduan teachers, strengthening collaboration with the community, improving teaching and learning methods, reinforcing management governance, and empowering monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
