In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. continued its annual festive outreach through the ‘Raya Sama-Sama’ initiative, extending support to communities across Malaysia and sharing the spirit of togetherness with those in need.
As part of the initiative, the Foundation reached 13 charitable homes nationwide, contributing a total of RM21,000 in support of both festive preparations and essential daily necessities. The contributions included ‘Raya Sama-Sama’ care boxes filled with Hari Raya decorations, essential household items, and MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers, enabling each home to create a more meaningful celebration for its residents.
The initiative benefited more than 820 individuals, including children, caretakers, senior citizens, and underprivileged families, ensuring they could experience the warmth and joy of the festive season.
Yayasan MR D.I.Y. Chief Executive Officer, Zaleha Mohd Mydin, said, “Hari Raya is a time for connection, gratitude, and shared moments. Through ‘Raya Sama-Sama’, we hope to bring joy to these communities and remind them that they are surrounded by care and kindness during this special season.”
At Rumah Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh Ibu, Ampang, volunteers spent time engaging with the children through interactive games and a lively dance session, creating a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. The children also took part in decorating their home with Hari Raya-themed items as part of the festive preparations. During the visit, MR D.I.Y. Group’s Vice President of Marketing, Alex Goh, presented the home with RM3,000 worth of MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers, goodie bags, green packets, and household items to support its ongoing needs.
Complementing these efforts, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. organised bubur lambuk distribution sessions at Masjid Taman Bukit Belimbing on 26 February, 5 March, and 12 March 2026, reaching 5000 recipients and extending the spirit of generosity to the wider community.
