In the true spirit of Ramadan, a season of compassion, giving, and togetherness, Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau, Columbia Asia Hospital Iskandar Puteri, and Care Luxury Hotels & Resorts joined hands with MOG Eyewear Angsana Mall, Jakel, and The Good Bread to organise “Raya Dalam Seindah Makna“, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative dedicated to 40 children from Asrama Kebajikan Ar-Rayyan and Maahad Tahfiz Sains Al-Insyirah.

The programme began at The Good Bread, where the children were treated to an engaging bread demonstration session, offering them a glimpse into the art of bread-making and the baking process.

The interactive experience allowed the children to learn about how bread is crafted while enjoying a fun and educational visit to the bakery.

As a special treat, each child also received freshly baked bread to take home, adding a meaningful and delightful start to the day’s programme.

The programme then continued with a Majlis Shopping Raya, where the children first underwent eye screenings at MOG Eyewear, ensuring their visual health was well-cared for. They then visited Jakel to personally select their Raya outfits, giving them the joy of choosing their attire and restoring the excitement and dignity of celebration that every child deserves.

The day continued with a Majlis Berbuka Puasa where TROVE Johor Bahru proudly sponsored the dinner for the children, ensuring they enjoyed a festive and memorable Raya experience. The event, held at Columbus 1 Ballroom, welcomed a total of 200 guests, including medical professionals, corporate partners, and senior management of participating organisations.

The evening was filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt moments. Guests and children were treated to a Zapin Johor culture dance performance by Tari Aliff, celebrating Johor’s rich cultural heritage.

Interactive mini games and engaging activities fostered joyful interactions between the children and attending guests, while each child received a duit Raya and special gift set, creating smiles and unforgettable memories for the special occasion.

“Ramadan is a time to give, to care, and to celebrate together. Through ‘Raya Dalam Seindah Makna’ we hope to bring warmth, joy, and hope into the lives of these children, making their Raya truly memorable,” said Felix Kah, the general manager of TROVE Johor Bahru. “Community care is at the heart of our mission.

By joining hands with our hospitality and retail partners, we are creating moments of happiness and dignity for these children – a reminder that every act of kindness matters,” said Dr James Chong, CEO of Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau.

Through this initiative, the collaboration between hospitality, healthcare, and retail sectors demonstrates how the true essence of Ramadan can be reflected in action – offering joy, compassion, and hope to children while bringing the community together in celebration.
