The special incentive offered by Bantuan Kasih Bangsa Johor (BKBJ) under the Orang Muda Johor (youths in Johor) initiative is open to not only Johoreans but also to those who have lived in the state for at least three years.
Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid, chairman of the Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee, said the RM1000 financial aid, known as the ‘Bantuan Raja Sehari,’ was for first-time married couples who got married in Johor.
He stated that recipients must be under the age of 40 and have an income of RM5,000 or less.
Mohd Fared mentioned that RM6 million is allocated for Muslim couples and RM4 million for non-Muslim couples under the initiative and that 200 couples have received assistance since its commencement in April this year.
He told reporters this after the Korban Perdana programme and the presentation of BKBJ aid and souvenirs to outstanding Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students at Rumah Orang Semerah.
Meanwhile, Mohd Fared who is also Semerah assemblyman said his party donated 10 cows for the sacrificial ritual for Raya Haji celebration, which were then distributed to the surrounding residents.
He also stated that his office celebrated 36 students who received excellent SPM 2021 results as motivation to continue to succeed in the future.
