SKS Mart Pandan officially opened its doors recently, with a soft launch reopening on 1 October 2026, Thursday, marking the return of a familiar neighbourhood destination following three years of redevelopment. Designed around the everyday needs of the community, the refreshed mart brings groceries, household essentials, dining, health and beauty, lifestyle services and other daily conveniences together in one easy-to-access location.
Located within the Pandan City mixed development in Johor Bahru, SKS Mart Pandan is positioned to serve residents of Pandan and surrounding neighbourhoods, as well as the wider community working and travelling through the area. The mart offers approximately 83,318 sq ft of lettable retail space and is supported by extensive parking and convenient road access.
A neighbourhood mart made for everyday life
More than 50 tenants now make up the retail and lifestyle mix at SKS Mart Pandan, led by anchor tenants Hwa Thai Supermart, MR.DIY and Lepak Corner. Other key names include Great Zone / Horeca Hub and Watsons, alongside BIG Pharmacy, Lawa Lawa Spa, Mystique Catz and RC Racing Toys City, among many others.
The mix has been curated around the kind of things people need and use every day – whether it is picking up groceries, finding something for the home, getting a quick meal, visiting the pharmacy, browsing for a useful find or simply spending time with family and friends.
“Today is about welcoming the community back. After three years of redevelopment, it is wonderful to see SKS Mart Pandan open its doors again as a refreshed neighbourhood destination built around what people need every day – more choice, greater convenience and a comfortable place they can return to often,” said Clement Chan, Complex Manager, SKS Mart Pandan.
Throughout the opening period, visitors can enjoy a variety of opening promotions and special offers from participating tenants. Hwa Thai Supermart, one of the mart’s anchor tenants, is rolling out a range of opening promotions and value offers across its grocery and household selection, giving shoppers even more reason to drop by and stock up during the opening period.
Chan added, “Our goal is simple – to be useful, accessible and welcoming. We want SKS Mart Pandan to be the kind of place where you can come in for one thing, stay for a meal, discover something else and feel comfortable coming back again. That is what a neighbourhood mart should be.”
Fantasia Food Fest kicks off four days of food and live entertainment
The opening celebrations continue with Fantasia Food Fest, which begins today and runs until 4 October 2026. More than 70 food vendors are taking part, with the festival running daily from 11.00 am to 12 midnight and creating an easy-going opening-weekend atmosphere for families, friends and visitors.
Live entertainment across the weekend features Malaysian artists K.O.I on Friday, 2 October; MK K-Clique on Saturday, 3 October; and Den Manjo & Eda Ezrin on Sunday, 4 October.
With its doors now open, SKS Mart Pandan returns to the neighbourhood with one simple idea at its heart – bringing useful, enjoyable everyday experiences closer to home, from grocery runs and everyday errands to meals, little discoveries and time spent with family and friends.
