With over 10 million monthly visits, iProperty.com.my, Malaysia’s No. 1 property platform, has reached a new peak. It’s clear that the global pandemic has hastened Malaysian property buyers’ adoption of a digital platform.
Following a small fall in visits during the early stages of MCO 1.0 in 2020, Malaysia adapted, and organic search visits on the web exceeded the 52-week average by +41% for subsale residential properties in June 2020 and +25% for residential rental properties in July 2020. Since July, the recovery of platform visits has moved to an upward trend.
iProperty.com.my saw a +20.4% rise in inquiries across its website in February compared to February 2020, in addition to a +51% year-over-year increase in visits (pre-MCO 1.0). Property enquiries are on the rise, indicating that property buyers are optimistic about the Malaysian property market’s recovery. It also suggests that as more people inquire about assets, they are turning to digital platforms.
“Malaysians have turned to the comfort and protection of digital channels for their property journey that has been interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Shylendra Nathan, General Manager of iProperty.com.my. With the help of our property agent and property developer customers, this new record high of 10 million monthly visits achieved during unprecedented times reflects property seekers’ trust in the Malaysian property market.”
iProperty.com.my 2020 Portal Demand Analytics released in January 2021 indicated the national demand for subsale residential properties improved to -1.3% from -2.5% in H1 2020.
“We are ecstatic to have reached this amazing milestone, with a Y-o-Y visit growth of +51%, in such difficult times. This shows that Malaysians prefer iProperty.com.my over other online property portal brands. Through our products, property data, trusted property material, and services, we will continue to provide the best customer experiences and excellent customer value in the coming months,” Shylendra concluded.
iProperty.com.my said it will continue to improve its products and customer experiences. Property hunters will notice enhancements to the iProperty Malaysia mobile app search experience.
