Makan Kitchen in DoubleTree by Hilton, Johor Bahru joins in on Malaysia Day celebrations by hosting the Truly Malaysian Buffet Dinner. Featuring a harmony of cultures under one roof, Makan Kitchen serves up an array of local dishes accompanied by regionally inspired interior.

Stir Fried Carrot cake with Chilli

Available during the month of September for only RM88 nett per adult and RM44 nett per child, guests can experience the best of traditional Malaysian cuisine including Malay, Chinese, and Indian dishes. The buffet spread features all-time favourites such as Nasi Kakwok, Aneka Ikan Masin dengan Bawang, Sup Tulang Sum Sum Kambing, Assam Laksa, Nasi Dagang Terengganu, Nasi Kerabu Bunga Telang, Stir Fried Carrot Cake with Chilli, Fish Ball Soup and more.

Complementing the distinct flavours and spices are a variety of tantalising desserts such as Pandan Layer Cake, Bubur Cha-Cha, Sago Gula Melaka, Coconut Cream Brulee, Apam Balik with condiments, Pisang Goreng, local ice-cream flavours including Asamboi, Milo, Kacang Hijau, Jagung, Bandung Cincau and many more.

That’s not all! For the whole month, there will be a surprise twist of flavours and a there will be special Hainanese and Cantonese counter featuring a range of exciting dishes.

To showcase our diversity and colourful cultures, guests are invited to dine in Baju Kurung, Cheongsam, Saree and other local traditional wear. Those who come dressed up in true Malaysian spirit will receive a 10% discount off their bill.

Makan Kitchen is open daily from 6.30 am until 10.30 pm. The Truly Malaysian Buffet Dinner is available only on Sunday to Thursday from 6.30pm to 10.30 pm. A special 25% discount is available for Hilton Dining APAC members.
