Ancom Nylex Bhd’s 42.2%-owned subsidiary, Nylex (Malaysia) Bhd, received a letter of intent (LOI) from the government about a proposed public-private partnership (PPP) project in Iskandar Malaysia.

Bernama reported that in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company stated that the government has given preliminary approval to a consortium consisting of DOM Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd, BTS Group Holdings Public Company Ltd, and Nylex to carry out the proposed Iskandar Malaysia Public Land Transport Development Project.

The agricultural and industrial chemical production company stated that the project entails the construction of a medium-capacity rail infrastructure using a PPP concept.

The consortium will now negotiate with the government on the terms and conditions of the project.
