OKU Sentral will soon open a drive-through vaccination centre (PPV) specifically for persons with disabilities (PwD) and their caregivers at Pusat Akuatik Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (MBJB) Arena Larkin.

Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi, the organisation’s president, said this was part of efforts to ensure that high-risk and vulnerable groups, such as PwDs and the elderly, be vaccinated as soon as possible and are not left out of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

“We would like to invite the PwD community and their family members to come to this PPV to get vaccinated. Vaccines will also be given to three caregivers and family members of a disabled person.

“Just make sure to provide complete information of the PwD and three caregivers or family members,” she told reporters on 18th August.

Ras Adiba, who is also the chairman of Bernama, stated that the PPV was only available to Johor residents aged 18 and up.

Those who are interested are recommended to enter proper information, particularly their identity card number, contact number and MySejahtera ID to make the vaccination appointment procedure go more smoothly.
