Grab has recently launched #TechUntukSemua to empower smaller businesses to benefit from the digital economy and is once again focusing on the many local durian sellers. This will not only ensure that Malaysians will be able to get their durian fix but local durian merchants and farmers will be able to continue to spread the joy of durian as well.

Cheah Kim Wai, the merchant of DurianManSS2, sees a change in selling as their regulars ordered via phone and WhatsApp. “Thankfully, our sales have been improving after joining Grab as our online delivery platform and we have had some positive responses from our customers who have picks up their orders themselves or have it delivered to their homes,” he added.
Romi Hidayat Zainintawa of Rizky Durian highlighted the oversupply issue after experiencing a decline in order from their customers that are also selling durians themselves as MCO restricts travel and dining in. “After joining Grab, my customers are able to order my durians from the comfort of their homes. By going online, we’ve also expanded our base and are delivering to many new customers too. Some of my customers have even kept ordering again for themselves or for their friends and family because of the convenient delivery!”
Grab also caters to both parties of a fan and less of a fan by ensuring it meets the needs of both for the season.
