After serving the community for almost ten years, the Shechinah Association Johor Bahru celebrated a historic milestone by hosting its first fundraising luncheon. Starting at 12 PM, the event was held at Bandar Baru Uda’s Sangkar Krystal Convention Hall.

The event is graced by Dato’ Fellowship Ismail Karim, President of Dewan Teraju Perniagaan & Usahawan Bumiputera Negeri Johor, Member of Majlis Diraja Johor, and former Johor State Secretary.

The luncheon is further honored by the presence of distinguished leaders, including Dato’ Rahim Bin Nin former Johor State Finance Officer and Haji Zaini Bin Atan, Vice President of Gabungan NGO Melayu Johor.

Several NGOs and homes have been specially invited to join the luncheon, including Shukur Hati Home, Pandan Care, Cerebral Palsy Johor, Calvary Pasir Gudang, Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Shalom Ria, Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Shalom Ria, Health & Joy – Boys Home and Orang Asli Kg Pasir Salam.

Their participation adds to the significance of this gathering as a platform of inclusivity, compassion, and shared hope.

The fundraising aim of the luncheon is clear – to raise support for a new van or also known as a mini bus, urgently needed to continue Shechinah’s mission of delivering food supplies, medical aid, and essentials to underprivileged families, refugees, the homeless, single mothers, and the Orang Asli community.

“We are humbled to see the community rally together today. This luncheon is a testimony that hope grows stronger when we come together. With the support raised today, we can continue driving our mission forward,” said the organising committee.
