The 6-day Oriental Night Market event will include a pet adoption drive

Property developer, CI Medini will be organising a 6-day Oriental Night Market themed ‘Forbidden City of China’ near their sales gallery with over 50 vendors and 20 food trucks from 10th – 12th May and 17th – 19th May from 5pm to 11pm.

“We have organised activities such as lion dance performance, music fiesta, Chinese calligraphy contest, Kung Fu performances and doggie adoption campaign organised by H.O.P.E NGO,” said Business Development Senior Manager Allan Loh Wann Sheng.

The night market is expected to attract 15,000 local and tourist visitors. The developer will also be promoting the event in Indonesia as they have been actively selling their properties there.

Tebrau MP Steven Choong said the location was strategic as it’s near the Second Link to Singapore and highlighted that there are plans to have more events in Iskandar Puteri.

“To see an immediate impact in the economy, we must attract tourists as this will help our Ringgit and local businesses move,” added Steven.

The Oriental Night Market is co-organised by Bandaraya Johor Bahru Hawkers and Traders Association. Vouchers will be given at the Sales Gallery to visitors to shop and enjoy themselves at the event.
