In line with the announcement of the additional national stimulus package by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 31st May 2021, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni Mohammad in his statement dated 1st June 2021 mentions that the Johor state government welcomes this initiative.
“I’m confident that the PEMERKASA Plus with RM40 billion fund and initiatives outlined will be able to achieve its goal which is to enhance public health capacity, pursue people’s concern and support business continuity,” he said.
The state government is also planning to provide the Ihsan Johor 3.0 Economic Stimulus Package (PRE) soon.
PRE Ihsan Johor 3.0 will focus on two things, namely the empowerment of Johor’s pandemic management and also the strengthening of social security assistance to the people in need.
This Economic Stimulus Package is complementary to the initiatives and assistance of the Federal’s aid as well as a continuation of PRE Ihsan Johor 2020 and PRE Ihsan Johor 2.0.
As of 23rd May 2021, PRE Ihsan Johor 1.0 has benefited a total of 295,464 recipients amounting to RM167.33 million. Meanwhile, PRE Ihsan Johor 2.0 has benefited a total of 387,674 recipients and a total of RM109.48 million.
The statement concluded that PRE Ihsan Johor 3.0 will be announced and implemented immediately in order to reach the target group as soon as possible.
