Paragon Globe Berhad and Paragon Market Place Sharing Holy Month’s Blessing with Children In Need

Paragon Globe Berhad together with Paragon Market Place have collaborated to organise a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, namely “Ramadan Prihatin” in conjunction with the holy month of fasting. The programme was held at the Concourse area of Paragon Market Place.

Paragon Globe Berhad and Paragon Market Place continues with its humanitarian efforts by contributed the essential items, “duit-raya” and “bubur lambuk” to two charity homes in Johor Bahru, for their Ramadan and Hari Raya Preparation. The two charity homes include Pusat Jagaan Kasih Setanggi and Rumah Perlindungan Fitrah Qaseh, benefiting 140 children in need.

During the event, Dato’ Sri Godwin Tan Pei Poh, Group Executive Director of Paragon Globe Berhad and Executive Director of Joland Group handed over the essential items, “duit raya” and “bubur lambuk” to the representative of both charity homes.

The event started with approximately 40 children including representatives of both charity homes arriving at 3.00 pm and ended with a group photograph session at 4.30 pm. 

Commenting on the contribution, Dato’ Sri Godwin Tan Pei Poh mentioned that this “Ramadan Prihatin” CSR Programme is an annual event organised by Paragon Globe Berhad and Paragon Market Place to share the holy Month’s blessing to the children. 

“We view this as our CSR commitment to give back to our surrounding community. We hope this small contribution would initiate a good start with the endemic announced recently,” he added.

A total of 500 containers of “bubur lambuk” have been prepared and distributed to the shoppers in Paragon Market Place as one of their “breaking fast” symbolic foods on this day itself.
