Last weekend, Ombak Festival lit up Desaru Coast in Johor, Malaysia, transforming it into a hotspot of music, art, and culinary delights from 13th – 15th September 2024. It was an eclectic weekend with a line-up that included iconic performances from the Cardigans and Nile Rodgers & CHIC, along with local sensations like Joe Flizzow and Dato Zainal Abidin. The energy in the air was palpable as music lovers danced late into the night keeping the vibe electric throughout the nights.

Foodies indulged in a feast of flavours at the Festival Village, with delights from Licky Chan, Jojo’s by Joloko, and Calle Taco. Meanwhile, for a more exclusive culinary experience, the Ember Beach Club Brunch, Ombak Supper Club and Kitchen Takeover by Carbon KL offered an elevated gastronomic experience.

Art aficionados were captivated by the stunning metal sculptures of Abdul Multhalib Musa. Interactive workshops and pop-up markets, including Dia Guild and Lokal Market, offered trendy, eco-friendly products, adding a creative flair to the festival​.

Families enjoyed a variety of activities at Ombak Kids, from Silent Disco Kids to Star Wars-inspired wayang kulit, ensuring fun for all ages. Set against the luxurious backdrop of Desaru Coast, with its pristine beaches and world-class resorts like the Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast and The Westin, the Ombak Festival was the ultimate weekend getaway. It beautifully blended luxury, entertainment, and creativity, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories.
