CI Medini exercises creative intelligence efforts to bring in footfall to Medini Iskandar Malaysia

CI Medini Sdn Bhd, a developer based in Medini Iskandar Malaysia (Medini), in collaboration with the vendors and food-truck associations, had organised and hosted two weekends of night markets and food-trucks galore.

This is part of an effort to increase the footfall in Medini and at the same time provide opportunities for local businesses to flourish.

“The objective of this carnival is to present opportunities and support to our local hawkers and stalls, including food-trucks in Johor Bahru to run their business. We also strive to become one of the tourist attractions for local and foreign visitors to enjoy the food and merchandise offered here,” said Allan Loh, Organising Committee Chairman.

The atmosphere at the carnival was lively

There were more than 100 stalls and food-trucks who participated in this carnival which included food and beverages, ornamental items, device accessories and more.
“We would also like to express our appreciation to the local authorities and the town council of Iskandar Puteri for their support and hope that this carnival can be carried on for more weekends to come,” Allan added.

He also said that Medini is in a very strategic location being close to Puteri Harbour and the Second Link CIQ that can bring in foreign visitors and tourists to the area as well.

The organisers wish to make this shopping carnival a permanent weekend event to bring vibrancy to the area. Just like the bazaars in JB town, CI Medini, with the support of the local authorities hope to bring more life to the Medini area.
