Turning the page on another creative chapter, multi-platinum pop rock band LANY have released a brand new single and music video entitled “Alonica.” It sets the stage for their brand new album, I Really Really Hope So, arriving on 29th September.

“Alonica” showcases yet another dimension of LANY’s ever-evolving sound. Ethereal guitar and sparse beats underline a nostalgic and emotional chorus. The track laces an entrancing melody with esoteric lyrics about a moment of personal actualisation mirrored by the dynamic of the music itself. The accompanying visual eloquently translates this vibe to the screen. Frontman Paul Jason Klein walks across an empty beach in a space suit. Removing his helmet, he surveys the ocean against a cloudy grey sky, shuffling through the sand to the track’s breezy cadence.

“‘Alonica’ is a place inside of yourself,” shared Paul. “It’s a state of being where you feel satisfied and comfortable. There was a moment in my journey where I felt safest alone. Before you can love anybody else either in a platonic or romantic sense, you need to love yourself. I finally reached a place where I was enough for me. I decided to be happy; nobody was going to decide it for me.”

It arrives on the heels of “Love At First Fight,”  the music video now has over 1.1M YouTube views and the song itself has over 4 million streams on Spotify alone. Earning critical acclaim, People spoke to Paul in-depth about the song and exclaimed, “The band’s latest single, ‘Love at First Fight,’ covers the insecurities that plague a new relationship when things go wrong for the first time.” Variance hailed it as “infectious,” and UPROXX noted, “LANY’s unbreakable relationship with their fans is based upon their fearless, well-rounded approach to love songs.”

The band will be setting out on their “First The Moon, Then The Stars: A Tour Before A World Tour” on August 10th which will include stops in Singapore, Osaka Summer Sonic Festival & Tokyo Summer Sonic Festival. The tour will now wrap on September 1st with a second night in Hawaii due to stellar ticket sales performance.
