Kensington Green Specialist Centre held its opening ceremony on 12th December 2019 making it the third multidisciplinary private hospital in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Attending the event were representatives from Malaysian Medical Association, management representatives of the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), representatives of general practitioners in Johor Bahru and many more.

Kensington Green Specialist Centre’s General Manager Suresh Kumar, welcomed guests with a brief speech before inviting the hospital’s Managing Director, Dr. Hoo Sing Nguang for a speech and to officiate of the opening ceremony.
“Our Obstetrics and Gynecology department will provide detailed gynecological ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery, tumour surgery, and a one-stop fertility centre. In addition, the hospital’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Services include prenatal embryo testing, natural delivery and caesarean delivery, as well as neonatologists to take care of the newborn. In addition to General Trauma Orthopedics, there are also Hand and Microsurgery Knee and Spine specialists,” Dr. Hoo said in his speech.
Dr. Hoo then shared a tear-jerking story on what has driven him to establish a specialist hospital, looking back at his childhood where his family could barely afford the healthcare that they needed.
His children who are also specialists in the hospitals came up to give him a hug, before Dr. Hoo officiated the opening ceremony.
