When asked about how the Asia Pacific Climate Week came to Johor, Niclas Svenningsen said, “It was through a bidding process which saw countries such as South Korea and Pakistan participating in the bid, but Johor’s interest was brought to our attention by the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) who actively helped to lobby for the APCW to be hosted here.”
The convention would involve 150 countries and 2,000 delegations.
