Johor Jewel, a Johor-based, netball team competing for Malaysia’s Netball Super League (NSL) title, has announced Laura Langman, World Cup title holder, as a part of their team now on all of its social media platforms.
Laura, 39, brings beyond valuable experience with her from her World Cup stint and Commonwealth and Olympic tournaments, including her countless international caps with New Zealand’s Silver Ferns.
“Laura Langman, World Champion captain, now lining up for Johor Jewels in the 2026 NSL season.
“Strength. Stability. Game conductor. Love for the game. Above all, a passion for excellence,” the statement on the Official Johor Jewels Instagram said in a post welcoming her.
Her Highness Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor as the Royal Patron of the Johor Netball Association, has opened the Che’ Puan Khaleeda Johor Netball Complex at Taman Suria, Johor back in November 2024.
She has commented under the welcome post on Instagram simply with “No introductions needed”.
Johor Jewels has obtained two NSL trophies for 2022 and 2023 since its inauguration in 2021. This move of obtaining star players is showing their commitment and determination to win yet another title ahead of the NSL 2026 competition.
