Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) roared with a 10-1 win against PDRM FC for the round of 16 in the Malaysia Cup 2025/2026 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri, on Sunday, the 18th of January.
Teto Martin (Alberto Martin Diaz), in jersey number 20, netted a double hat-trick in the first leg of the championship by scoring first in the second minute, followed by the second one five minutes later.
The third goal for JDT came through Nazmi Faiz Mansor in the 48th minute before Teto completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute.
PDRM FC’s Mohamad Imran Samso scored one consolation goal at the 60th minute.
Teto added three more goals as JDT continued their assault, and Manuel Hidalgo and Marcos Guilherme both scored twice to give the Southern Tigers a solid win, giving JDT the best possible position to advance to the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals.
Ahead of the first leg, PDRM FC has requested for the venue of their home game to change from Majlis Perbandaran Selayang Stadium to Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, citing its unavailability on the date and The Cops’ logistic plan, as they had to face Melaka FC prior to the Malaysian Cup match.
It has then been agreed by both parties, as announced by the Malaysian Football League (MFL).
JDT will face the same team again this Saturday, the 24th of January, at 5.30pm for the second leg of the cup at the same venue.
