
Sultan Abu Bakar Heritage Complex (KWSAB) has opened to the public on 3rd June 2026, offering a new cultural and heritage tourism product, further solidifying Johor’s position as a tourism destination for arts and culture in the state of Johor.
KWSAB offers a variety of interesting attractions, including the KWSAB Heritage Tour Package, traditional cultural performances, an art gallery, a heritage pavilion, a Johor weaving gallery, the introduction of Bangsa Johor clothing, a traditional Sanggul demonstration, and interactive experiences that highlight the diverse Bangsa Johor arts, culture, and heritage.
In conjunction with the opening of this complex, visitors can enjoy special promotional price offers for citizens only for the KWSAB Tour starting 3rd June to 2nd July 2026 as follows:
- RM5 for adult citizens (normal price RM10);
- RM2 for senior citizens and children/student citizens aged 2-17 years (normal price RM5);
- RM30 for adult non-citizens;
- RM20 for senior citizens and children/non-citizen students aged 2-17 years; and
- Free for children under 2 years & disabled
Traditional cultural performances will begin on 12th June 2026 with promotional prices until 12th July 2026 as follows:
- RM25 for adult citizens (normal price RM50);
- RM10 for senior citizens and children/citizen students aged 2-17 years (normal price RM25);
- RM100 for adult non-citizens;
- RM50 for senior citizens and children/non-citizen students aged 2-17 years; and
- Free for children under 2 years & disabled
The public could get a preview of the cultural performances ahead of its premiere by catching Gerak Teater Johor’s ‘Dalang’ theatre by SenjaKala this 9th to 10th June 2026 at KWSAB at 8.30pm.
KWSAB will operate every Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm; Friday from 3 pm to 10 pm; Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
