According to Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni Mohammad, the Johor state government has received several inquiries from the two countries especially after learning about the development of various large projects in the state, thus giving them the confidence in terms of infrastructure in Johor.
“There are some inquiries by the MNCs based in the US and China who intend to transfer their operations to Johor. I hope we are ready because when the borders reopen, this will give an opportunity for investors to see for themselves (the progress) of Johor,” Hasni told the reporters after visiting the Sungai Pulai Bridge project.
The companies in the US and China are involved in the electrical and electronics (E&E) sector as well as information and communication technology (ICT).
