With the aim to ensure an inclusive and equitable quality of education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for every child, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Tebrau initiated a Student Adoption Programme as one of the solutions.

Led by JCI Tebrau’s Advisor –  Jayasangkar along with Local Secretary Yee Hong, General Legal Counsel Jack Khoo and Member Ellin E, presented a cheque of RM3,000 to SJK(T) Ulu Tiram, received by Principal D. Vijiyan.

According to Yee Hong millions of children in the world have dropped out of school or missed out on quality education due to many reasons, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the poorer families were unable to afford education for their children and they need help from the community.

“We hope to contribute in the aspect of reducing the financial burden of students so that they can stay focused in their studies and staying in principle with our project, “Never Compromise on Education,” she stressed.
