Emergency Simulation Exercise for Chemical Spill at the SecondLink

Activation of contra flow between the CIQ Buildings of Singapore and Malaysia

PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) wishes to inform that a contra flow will be activated between the Customs Building Complex, Singapore to the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex, Malaysia, at KM-1.70 and KM-0.6 (Northbound) on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing (Linkedua) on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025, from 4:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This is part of the 14th Malaysia-Singapore Joint Committee on the Environment (MSJCE) bilateral collaboration to conduct an Emergency Simulation Exercise for Chemical Spill Response.

The simulation aims to test the efficiency, response time, preparedness, and coordinated actions of emergency responders and relevant agencies from both countries in managing emergency scenarios.

Therefore, Linkedua (Secondlink) highway users are encouraged to plan their journeys using the PLUS App to obtain the latest traffic information.

They are also advised to obey to all traffic signs and instructions issued by PLUS personnel when passing through the affected area.

All highway users can also obtain the latest traffic information through the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, X@plustrafik App, and Electronic Signboards (VMS) at selected locations as well as contact PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 in the event of any emergencies.
