On New Year’s Day, Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau welcomed new bundles of joy, not one but four.
On Saturday morning, Nur Shafira Abdul Rahim, 30, and Mohammed Fahim Mohd Rajees, 33, welcomed their twins’ (boy) into the world. The twins were delivered via caesarean section barely one minute apart. The baby boys weighed 2.99kg and 2.86kg, respectively, and their parents were ecstatic since they were both delivered healthily.
Another delighted parent Shazlin Md Yusof, staff nurse and Mohamad Hadi Ruzaimi Mamat, Landscape Officer were overwhelmed with the arrival of their second child, a healthy baby boy weighing 2.94kg.
Nur Umairah Rahim, 28, a make-up artist, and her husband, Anuar Abd Aziz, 28, welcomed their second child, a baby girl into the world who weighed 4.16kg.
All the mothers and newborns are doing well and they were attended to by Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecologists Dr Eliza Mohd Noor and Visiting Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecologists Dr Tan Jui Seng, as well as Consultant Pediatrician Dr Quek Szu Mei, midwives, and nurses.
To commemorate the event, the hospital gave each family a festive gift.
