International Nurses’ Day National Nurses Day is observed annually on 12th May each year as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale; mother of modern nursing and is worshipped by nurses all over the world for the compassion she showed to those in need of medical help. The hospital celebrated the day for recognising the selfless service, commitment to excellence and making a difference every day the community.
Columbia Asia Hospital – Tebrau (CA Tebrau) was delighted to show their gesture of appreciation by giving away flowers, cupcakes and appreciation mugs to all our nurses, thanking them for their hard work and dedication. Flowers were also given to the employees who are mothers, in celebration of Mother’s Day which was on the 10th. All doctors, patients including visitors of the hospital also received a cupcake each to commemorate the joyous occasion.
To keep the momentum going, thank you notes were also distributed to each employee to write down their personal thank you message to one another. The objective of these initiatives is to create a positive work environment and instill a culture of appreciation amongst the employees. The thank you note will be compiled in a collage format and displayed out in the hospital.
