Have a fab stay in HRHDC and continue the fun next door at the Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark
Once I was done with my sumptuous breakfast at Sessions – HRHDC all-day dining restaurant, I took a brisk walk to the main lobby to rub shoulders with some artists (wishful), okay maybe their prized stuff at least! All this glitz and glamour is possible via a complimentary Memorabilia Tour located at the main lobby (booking required) where you can explore a great collection throughout the hotel happening daily at 11am and 4pm.
After being awe-struck, I was looking forward to relax my mind and soothe my calf muscles with a spa session at the Rock Spa. Be greeted by friendly faces and a welcome drink as you discuss which treatment you’re interested in. I was thrilled to try out The Desaru Dose package that would last for 120 minutes. The spa pampering first starts off with the ritual foot scrub as a cleansing process followed by a local blend of coconut scrub for the body. Then I took a quick bath and was all set for its signature Asia-Blend Massage which is a combination of Sports and Balinese techniques. Dayang, my massage therapist put the right kind of pressure and eased when needed. I then drifted off with rhythm in my head and the next thing I knew I was undergoing facial and head massage to conclude my session.
I felt completely rejuvenated and my skin felt like a million-bucks! What is unique about Rock Spa is not only adults can have all the fun and pampering but children from 7 – 14 years old with their parents can also undergo special spa treatments right from a foot scrub to facials and more! From my experience, the spa can be fully booked fast, so do make your reservations early to avoid disappointment. Rock Spa is open daily from 10am – 9pm. Call +607 838 8888 or email rockspa@hrhdesaru.com to schedule a session.
If your children are not into spa, leave your worry aside as you may send them to the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club. Your child can escape into their own-world of imaginative play and get crafty or maybe turn into a rock star by trying their hands on some drums or even a guitar. This place is every child’s dream come true or maybe even parents who need some me-time! It’s located at Level 1 and open daily from 10am-9pm and for children between the ages of 4 – 12 only. If they’ve been good, maybe you can pop into Roxtars Toys & Sweets store – the first one on the planet for kids for a little treat or two!
Before checking-out, do make a final stop for that customary t-shirts or souvenirs we’re so fond off at the Rock Shop at Level 3.
Since the Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark (DCAWP) is literally steps away from the hotel, you can perhaps indulge in more fun through the Naughty & Nice Family Package which includes stays with 1-day entrance tickets to DCAWP for parents and 2 children with convenient multiple entry for the day. Logon to www.hardrockhotels.com/desaru-coast for more details and promotions.
We ended the final stay at the DCAWP for a splashing great time. DCWAP is the biggest waterparks in the world with more than 20 wet and dry rides, slides and attractions. For your convenience there are 5 F&B outlets, merchandise store, prayer rooms, restrooms, changing rooms, lockers, cabanas as well beach lounges and chairs for your use and relaxation. As Desaru is fast becoming a world-class destination including water sports hub, get into the vibe by enrolling in some surf lessons which costs only RM400 p.p or indulge in this sport as a private session with 8 people starting from RM2000. For bookings, full terms & conditions, email to info@dcwap.com.
For general visit, corporate and private events at the Waterpark, logon to www.dcawp.com for entry ticket prices (reduced rates applicable for online purchases and MyKad holders) and special Splash pass available for Johoreans and Johor residents. All rates are inclusive of 6% SST.
With that, my fabulous family staycation ended on a really high note and I promise to be back to indulge in more fun time and exploration.
