Best city hotel with top notch services

Amari Johor Bahru clinched two awards at the recent Asia Pacific Tourism & Travel Awards 2019 organised by the Asia Pacific Tourism & Travel Federation. The hotel’s Area General Manager, Dean Rossilli, was awarded Hospitality Superstar and Amari Johor Bahru received the Certificate of Excellence for Best City Hotel.

The gala event was held in Kuala Lumpur where about two hundred distinguished hospitality destinations and General Managers were presented with commendable awards for their achievements in the hospitality industry. It is an annual celebration of honouring the best Tourism and Hospitality facilities and accommodation in the Asia Pacific region. Running successfully for 3 consecutive years, the winners are concluded based on online public voting within a stipulated period of time for each region or country.

“We are indeed delighted to win these two prestigious awards at the beginning of this year. We would like to thank all of our guests, patrons, business partners, the media and everyone for their continuous support towards the hotel. I am also greatly overwhelmed to see the tremendous efforts being put by the Amari team especially in upholding the highest level of service standards for our guests.”, said Dean.

With over 26 years of hospitality experience in managing several international hotels across eight countries, Dean has won several accolades under his leadership and this is his first individual award he has been awarded at Amari Johor Bahru since he joined as Area General Manager in February 2018. He will play a vital role as Area General Manager for other Amari hotels that will open in Malaysia by 2020.

Located in the hub of the city, Amari Johor Bahru opened its doors in May 2017 and is the first Amari in Malaysia. Enfolded by rich heritage and shopping centres, the hotel is a couple of steps from the Persada Convention Centre, Komtar JBCC and City Square and a short walk to JB Sentral and the Custom, Immigration and Quarantine Complex. It is surrounded by heritage sites, cafes, traditional bakers and various local restaurants. All rooms and suites feature warm interiors with understated textures and touches from the locality. Combined with modern technology, comfort and complimentary Wi-Fi, the rooms are fully equipped with international standards for both business and leisure travellers alike. Whether you are rejuvenating at the Breeze Spa, pleasing your palate at the unique Amaya Food Gallery, or having your cocktail at the Dip Bar, the hotel has all the facilities you could wish for.

Since its inception, the hotel has been recognised for embracing the colours and rhythm of modern Asia.
