Rendang Mackerel

This four ingredient dish has a complexity and flavour that has to be savoured to be believed.

Prep time: 3 minutes, cooking time: 20 minutes, serves: 4 to 5 pax

Method

  1. Add one pack of Ayam Brand Rendang Paste into a wok, and fry until fragrant for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Next add 120ml of Ayam Brand Coconut Milk and stir gently until well-combined. Drain a can of Ayam Brand Sardine or Mackerel in Tomato Sauce (425g), and add it into the rendang gravy.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally until sauce thickens. Then, add Ayam Brand Kerisik (40g), and mix in gently until well combined.
  4. And that’s it. Serve with nasi impit during the festive season, or pair it with rice for a satisfying daily meal.
