Developer Mah Sing Group launches Orchid double-strorey linked homes at the Meridin East Township
Mah Sing Group had launched their new phase of double-storey linked homes at their southern township development, Meridin East in Iskandar Malaysia.
The Orchid is a freehold property that consists of four bedrooms and three bathrooms with a built-up area of 1,782 sqft. The target completion date for the first phase of the Orchid is in June 2021.
A total of 164 units will be available upon completion which includes 100 units for Phase 1 and 64 units for Phase 2.
The interior of the Orchid is fully-extended with spacious living space. The development will also feature a 16 km jogging track and a bicycle lane for sports and recreation. Besides that, a nine acre Mulberry lake and a Picnic Garden is nestled within the township itself.
The launch of the Orchid coincided with the balloting session for the Type C (RM150,000) affordable homes developed by Mah Sing Group as a requirement under the state government’s housing policy.
A total of 132 affordable home units with a built up area of 1,000 sqft were successfully balloted to the public who eagerly attended the event in the hopes of owning a home.
The breakdown of the total 1,274 registrants included 1,118 Malays, 100 Chinese and 56 Indians. From the total units allocated, 68 units were for Malays, 27 units for Chinese and 11 units for Indians.
The balloting session was officiated by Haji Mohd Radzi bin Haji Mohd Amin as the undersecretary of the state housing department who was representing Sr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Housing, Communication and Multimedia Committee Chairman.
Mohd Radzi conveyed the states exco’s speech and mentioned that, “I would like to congratulate Mah Sing Group for completing this project. Meridin East is the largest township developed by Mah Sing with an area of 1,313 acres. Mah Sing will be providing a number of affordable homes categorised as low-cost shop lots, affordable homes, and community homes.”
“I wish you all good luck in obtaining the certificate of qualification to own a home by expediting your financing so that the process of ownership can run smoothly,” he added.
