LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort launched its first-ever Merdeka Fest on 27th August, bringing Malaysian culture, creativity and LEGO play together in a 25-day celebration for families.
Running until 20th September 2026, the festival will feature traditional performances, cultural workshops, collaborative LEGO builds and daily family activities.
Throughout Merdeka Fest, The Beginning Stage will come alive with performances and hands-on experiences inspired by Malaysia’s diverse cultural heritage.
Guests can look forward to:
- Merdeka Opening Spectacular (27th Aug – 6th Sept): A lively opening show filled with patriotic spirit and plenty of energy.
- Cultural Week (7th – 13th Sept): Traditional performances including Tarian Tradisi Malaysia, Tarian Rakyat Serumpun and Tarian Borneo
- Interactive Cultural Workshops: Guests can take part in Bengkel Tarian Joget 1 Malaysia, Bengkel Zapin Warisan, Bengkel Kuda Kepang, Let’s Learn Magunatip, and Mari Mencanting Batik.
- Unity Grand Finale Farewell Show (14th – 20th Sept): A closing performance celebrating the cultures and traditions bring Malaysians together.
- Special Cultural Performances: Exclusive cultural showcases happening every Saturday throughout the festival.
Families can also participate in daily LEGO activities and creative challenges at The Beginning Stage:
- LEGO Mural Jalur Gemilang: Add your bricks to a giant collaborative LEGO mural and help build Malaysia’s flag, one brick at a time.
- Malaysia Discovery Quest & Merdeka Colouring: Put your little explorers to the test as they discover more about Malaysia through fun challenges and creative colouring activities.
- Build-A-Heart & Build-A-Tower: Build together and show your love for Malaysia with collaborative LEGO creations inspired by the nation.
- Sort for a Greener Malaysia: Learn about recycling and better waste-sorting habits through a fun, hands-on activity for the whole family.
- Photo Booth & Minifigure Trading: Capture your Merdeka memories and meet our Model Citizens for a little minifigure trading fun.
- Merdeka Lucky Draw: Take part in the daily lucky draw for a chance to bring home awesome LEGO prizes.

Families can enjoy unlimited fun at a flat rate of RM266 with the Triple Park Annual Pass, featuring an exclusive limited-edition MINILAND Sultan Ibrahim Stadium (JDT) Pass in partnership with JDT and Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
The Merdeka Fest will run from 27th August to 20th September 2026 at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. Festival activities are included with regular admission unless otherwise stated.
