JDT Becomes the First Malaysian Club to Partner with Socios.Com

Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) became the first Malaysian club to join Socios.com’s world-leading fan engagement and rewards platform.

The international partnership was signed by the club’s owner, His Royal Highness, Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Socios.com which was broadcasted live on the JOHOR Southern Tigers Facebook page.

The Southern Tigers club will be able to create new engagement and rewards opportunities for their passionate supporters through JDT Fan Tokens on Socios.com.

Fan Tokens are digital assets that enable fans to access highly engaged communities where participation in games, club polls, predictors and other features unlocks access to rewards including club merchandise, VIP tickets, and unique, memorable club experiences.

He said the partnership confirms that JDT FC is a standout option for international brands to partner with in the region, adding that the launch of the $JDT Fan Token will allow millions of JDT fans more opportunities to interact with the club and be a part of JDT family.

“At JDT FC, we have always been committed to finding new and innovative ways for our fans to extend their relationship with us, and we will work very closely with Socios to develop cutting-edge opportunities for our fans to participate and interact with the club they love so much,” said Tunku Ismail.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Socios.com, said that JDT has dominated their domestic league in recent times, helping put Malaysian football on the map and building their passionate fan base.

JDT FC supporters can look forward to voting on club decisions pertaining to the team, stadium, and JDT’s world-class facilities.

Fan Token Holders will also be able to vote for their Player and Goal of the Month, as well as help, decide which players or staff appear in Social Media content, and will be eligible to win special prizes such as match-worn player jerseys and other merchandise never before available to fans for purchase.

More than 170 major sporting organisations, including many of Europe’s and Latin America’s leading football clubs, have partnered with Socios.com to create new experiences and opportunities for their fans through Fan Tokens.
