Within 5 months of the grand opening for Holiday Inn Express & Suites Johor Bahru, the hotel is unveiling its Express Bar for the very first time, namely – XBAR.
“This has been in plan all along, and we are excited to have the bar finally getting started to allow our guests to enjoy their chilling time at the lobby,” said Melanie Rahayu, General Manager.
It’s a casual-environment kind of a bar where you just pick your favourite beverages from cocktail or mocktail, coffee or beer for yourself and your friends and just chat the day away. If you’re there to unwind on a Saturday, be entertained by their live busking entertainment from 8 pm to 10.30 pm at the hotel lobby.
Currently, the XBAR is introducing special drinks promotion from only RM13 for the entire month of September. No prior bookings are required.
The hotel heard the demands for hi-tea and prepared the Sip N’ Chill, the hotel’s first local & English fusion Afternoon-Tea series due to its popular demand.
While enjoying my specially made mocktail, we were served a 3-tiered afternoon tea of local bites such as Nyonya kuih, Fried Spring Rolls, Curry Puffs, and English selections such as mini cakes and sandwiches.
This set is suitable for 2 pax and comes with choices of coffee or tea at a promotion price of RM35, and is available daily from 2 pm – 6 pm, starting from 1st September 2022.
After the welcome drinks and afternoon tea, we headed to the second floor for the Fiery Asian Hotpot Semi Buffet Dinner in conjunction with the Merdeka & Malaysia Day celebration.
Recommended for 2-4 pax per table, the hotpot comes with 2 types of soup base; tom yam and clear soup. The ingredients given are fresh seafood like Prawns, seashells like Lala and Mussels along with Crabsticks, Fishballs, Mushrooms and Vegetables. As I did not bring my histamine to combat my seafood allergy, I settled with becoming a vegetarian for the session but the soup itself made my hot pot experience wonderful.
The Fiery Asian Hotpot Semi Buffet Dinner also came with a free flow of appetisers, desserts and drinks at the buffet counter, so I got myself endless scoops of ice cream with fun garnish!
The hotel is introducing a special price for the hotpot set at RM45 for 2 pax and RM88 for 4 pax, available every Friday till Sunday from the 1st of September 2022 to the 31st of October 2022.
