Dr Adham Baba Visits Pasir Gudang Quarantine and Treatment Centre

The Minister of Health took a good look on the state’s quarantine and treatment centre

The Minister of Health, Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham Baba, also a Member of Parliament for Tenggara in Johor, has paid a visit to PKRC Pasir Gudang, Johor on 30th May 2021.

His arrival was accompanied by the Johor State Chairman of Health and Environment, Vidyananthan Ramanadhan and the Johor State Director of Health, Dato’ Dr. Aman Rabu.

Dr Adham Baba during his visit met the frontline personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Royal Malaysian Police, Rela, Fire Department, the Malaysian Civil Defense Force, the Information Department and took note of the logistics, human resources, facilities and more. 

He also expressed his gratitude to all the frontliners at PKRC Pasir Gudang who are always committed to their work in fighting the deadly COVID-19.

MBPG Indoor Stadium is the first PKRC in Johor that has been operating since 10th February and as of last Tuesday, the PKRC has received 5,978 of COVID-19 patients.

Johor has two PKRCs, namely the MBPG Indoor Stadium PKRC with 1,043 beds and the Private PKRC at DB Kompleks Iskandar Puteri, with has 395 beds.

Both PKRCs function as treatment and quarantine centres for category one and two positive patients with no symptoms or mild symptoms.Iskandar Malaysia Social Hero Awards (IMSHA) winners, Ihsan Johor and Yayasan Suria JB have been contributing to the PKRC Pasir Gudang for non-medical tasks like providing activities for the quarantined patients. A truly appreciative cause given the circumstances.
