Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MIM) held an inaugural Pasar Tani+ (Pasar Tani Plus) in Medini, Johor with Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP), Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (FAMA), Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) and Touch & Go. Johor Menteri Besar, Ir. Haji Hasni Mohammad made a casual visit to check the second eco-concept market after Putrajaya with MBIP Mayor, Dato’ Haji Mohd Haffiz and Johor FAMA Director, Shahrizan Sudiman.
Aiming to contribute to the local economy and serve as a platform for small local traders while introducing local food and products to visitors, the market is held at the Edible Park to provide convenience to residents around Medini City where they can also unwind in the evening.
Shahrizan said that FAMA will add even more services from time to time to cater to the buyers by making it available for people to shop online and also enhance the COVID-19 SOPs in which for the launch, the market limited it to only 100 visitors at one time with tight security enforcement.
Pasar Tani Plus Medini will commence officially on 22nd May 2021, operating every Thursday from 3pm to 8pm.
