Columbia Asia Hospital–Tebrau celebrated Merdeka Day under new norms with two babies born right after the clock struck twelve. The first baby boy of the hospital came into this special day 20 mins after 12. The mother Leow Yuh Chin, 34 delivered the baby weighing 2.35kg through normal deliver under Dr. Sureshkumar Subramaniam, Consultant O&G and Meternal-Fetal Medicine. The delivery process for the baby was smooth.
It was also wonderful news for Nurul Shuhada and her husband, Dato Hj Ibrahim of their first baby girl born on the day which coincided with the country’s 63rd Merdeka Day. The healthy girl weighing 3.01kg was safely delivered at 2.16pm by Dr. Eliza Mohd Noor, Consultant O&G and Cosmetic Gynaecologist though normal delivery. Nurul is also a staff nurse at Columbia Asia Hospital-Tebrau, and was it was a sweet moment for her to deliver her first baby there and especially during this historic day.
In addition, each baby was gifted with a hamper and special kit from the hospital by Regional General Manager, Rahani Yaacob.
