Gunung Ledang Waterfall Upgrading Project in Tangkak Phase 2 is almost 90% complete as of 26th April 2025, said Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
“This project is one of the State Government’s main initiatives in strengthening the tourism sector and stimulating the local economy.”
“With its unique historical background, Gunung Ledang has great potential to become a major tourist destination that can attract visitors from home and abroad,” he said.
“Therefore, this project is expected to have a positive impact on the surrounding area by providing more organised, comfortable, and visitor-friendly tourism facilities. More importantly, it will be a major catalyst for local economic growth,” he added.
His visit is part of the State Government’s commitment to ensuring that all development plans run smoothly, as well as in preparation for Visit Johor Year 2026.
“Every effort is being made to ensure that every cent spent provides real benefits to the people.”
“Hopefully, all these efforts will be a driver for inclusive and sustainable development, as well as contributing to the long-term well-being of the state and the Johor people,” he concluded.
