The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Johor Iskandar Puteri Police Chief, Rahmat Ariffin, has released a statement on traffic and route notice through Iskandar Puteri Police Headquarter’s Facebook page for the upcoming National Day celebration on 31st August 2022 at Dataran Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
A total of 3 roads will be closed to launch the parade and parade which will start on the 28th of August 2022 until the 31st of August 2022.
Here are the routes and times of the road that will be completely closed:
Date: 28th to 29th August 2022 (Rehearsal)
Closing time: 8.00 am to 12.00 noon
- Kampung Lalang Road
- Anjung roundabout to Simpang Eco Botanic – closed one way
- Campus Walk Campus Walk (Simpang Caltex Educity) to Educity Sports Complex roundabout – closed both ways.
- Graduate Walk Graduate Walk (Jan Kampung Lalang Junction) to Educity Village Roundabout – closed both ways.
Date: 30 August 2022 (Full Meeting)
Closing time 6.00 am until 12.00 noon
- Kampung Lalang Road
- Anjung roundabout to Simpang Eco Botanic – closed one way
- Campus Walk Campus Walk (Simpang Caltex Educity) to Educity Sports Complex roundabout – closed both ways.

(A) Closing Time: 12.01 am to 1.00 pm

- Graduate Walk (Kampung Lalang-McDonalds Junction) to Educity Village Roundabout has closed both ways.

Jalan Kampung Lalang Anjung Circle to Simpang Eco Botanic- closed one way
Public attendees could park their vehicle in the public parking lot that has been prepared as follows:
- VVIP – SMK Medini and Dataran Iskandar Puteri parker – 30 slots
- The Master Promenade route passes through Newcastle University at the back of Educity from the Second Link (allowed to park on the roadside) – 300 slots
- Eco Botanic – 200 slots
- Pakir site Eco Gallery (Southampton University)- 200 slots
- East Ledang parking lot – 100 slots
- Anjung / Velodrome – 100 slots
- The shoulder of Jalan Kampung Lalang – 70 slots
- MDIS parking site – 500 slots
- Legoland parking site – 2000 slots
Total Capacity 3500
Public transport (shuttle bus) will also be provided and the following are (4) locations that will be used as shuttle bus pit stops:
- Campus Promenade Junction
- Simpang Persiaran Graduan (Mc’Donalds)
- Velodrome / Porch
- Lebuh Medini Utara (LEGOLAND Malaysia)
“The public are advised to come early in the morning and are also encouraged to use the public transportation (shuttle bus) that has been provided to avoid critical traffic jams and to facilitate movement to and fro.”
“Please ensure your vehicle is not parked in prohibited areas and areas that disturb traffic. Obey the instructions of the traffic officers on duty that day.” Rahmat said.
