Iskandar Malaysia Social Hero Awards (IMSHA) winner, Yayasan Suria JB (YSJB) is hosting a party for 1,500 people this season of holidays from the 1st of December 2021 to the 29th of January 2022, through its own ‘Donate A Festival’ programme.
Dubbed as ‘3-in-1 Celebrations’ encompassing Christmas 2021, New Year 2022 and Chinese New Year 2022 celebrations, the programme aims to feed and cheer approximately 1,500 diverse ethnicities of people in need from children to the disabled and the elderly residing in 15 different care homes.
“We are allocating RM10 per person and we welcome everyone to participate in this project to feed the people in these 15 different homes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many homes are facing hardships in funding and some homes have closed down due to their inability to sustain the running of the homes,” YSJB’s Chairman, James Ho said in a statement, also stating that any contribution given would get a tax exemption receipt from the NGO.
