Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor (YRZSNJ) and Amari Johor Bahru have officially launched their collaborative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Kasih Ramadan, Cahaya Kebaikan,” to support underprivileged families in Johor Bahru during the holy month of Ramadan.

The programme, which aligns with YRZSNJ’s mission of fostering social well-being and Amari Johor Bahru’s commitment to community service will provide essential needs and festive support to those in need.

The initiative aims to assist 200 underprivileged families, ensuring they have access to basic necessities and the ability to observe Ramadan and celebrate Hari Raya in comfort.

The launch of “Kasih Ramadan, Cahaya Kebaikan” was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between YRZSNJ and Amari Johor Bahru.

The MOU was signed by Hishamuddin Abdul Rahim, CEO of YRZSNJ and Pauline Chua, General Manager of Amari Johor Bahru, in the attendance of representatives from YRZSNJ and Amari Johor Bahru, as well as representatives from Tourism Malaysia Southern Region, Tourism Johor, and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia.

The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to uplifting the less fortunate and strengthening the community through structured charitable efforts.

Ramadan is a sacred month of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims around the world. It is a time for self-discipline, gratitude, and giving back to the community, particularly to those who are less fortunate.

Understanding the significance of this period, YRZSNJ and Amari Johor Bahru aim to channel the true essence of Ramadan through this initiative.

The programme is designed to provide food baskets containing daily essentials such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, canned food, and more to 200 selected underprivileged families on 15th March 2025.

Additionally, a special Grand Iftar Event will be hosted on 28th March 2025 as a gesture of appreciation for the generosity and support of corporate sponsors, partners, and contributors who have played a vital role in the success of this initiative.

The success of this initiative relies heavily on the generosity of corporate partners, organisations, and individuals who wish to extend their support.

YRZSNJ and Amari Johor Bahru invite esteemed organisations and individuals to participate in this meaningful cause through specially curated sponsorship tiers, ensuring impactful contributions towards the initiative.

The Cahaya Kebaikan sponsorship at RM15,000 provides premium recognition with exclusive branding opportunities, a personalised appreciation plaque, and an invitation to the Grand Iftar Event.

The Kasih Ramadan sponsorship at RM10,000 includes branding on event materials, special acknowledgement during the event, and seating at the Iftar Event.

The Mulia Budi sponsorship at RM5,000 offers recognition on banners and social media, along with invitations to the Iftar Event.

These sponsorship opportunities not only provide meaningful assistance to the beneficiaries but also allow contributors to be part of a noble and impactful cause.

Speaking at the launch, Hishamuddin Abdul Rahim, CEO of YRZSNJ, stated that this initiative embodies the true spirit of Ramadan—compassion, generosity, and community support.

He expressed his hopes that “Kasih Ramadan, Cahaya Kebaikan” will continue to grow in scale and impact, touching the lives of more families in need each year.
