Yayasan JCorp, in partnership with Johor Heritage Foundation, has launched Pentas Seni Johor at B5 Johor Street Market, Johor Bahru; officiated by Raven Kumar Krishnasamy, Executive Council of Unity, Heritage, and Culture of Johor.

“As part of our initiative to create one of Johor’s most dynamic centres for the arts and heritage, B5 Johor Street Market stands as the ideal strategic location for Pentas Seni Johor. This initiative also reflects our commitment to supporting the Johor State Government in promoting the state as a leading destination for arts and cultural tourism,” said Rozaini Mohd Sani, Chairman of Yayasan JCorp.

“Pentas Seni Johor is not merely a stage – it serves as a cultural hub dedicated to strengthening Johor’s artistic identity through a diverse range of activities throughout 2024–2025, culminating in Visit Johor Year 2026. These activities will include traditional music performances, visual art exhibitions, cultural showcases from across Johor, and creative workshops aimed at engaging Johor’s youth,” he added.

Pentas Seni Johor, will give local artists a vital platform to flourish on by giving them chances to exhibit their skills and originality and make money from their work. This inclusive project will also help artists with disabilities, whose incredible works will surely be showcased.

The launch featured a variety of activities, including creative workshops, exhibitions, and sales of artisanal products such as crafts and carvings from local artisans. Citra Warna, variations on the Zapin Johor dance, a special performance by the Chinese community, and displays of Indian traditional dance and culture were among the performances.

Pentas Seni Johor, according to the Johor Heritage Foundation, is a fantastic chance to highlight the distinctiveness of Johor’s arts and culture via a range of artistic manifestations and performances, such as traditional music and dance.

“This programme reflects Johor Heritage Foundation’s commitment to preserving and promoting Johor’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. Through our partnership with Yayasan JCorp, we are confident that this platform will successfully engage the public with our heritage and further enrich the cultural landscape in Johor,” said Fairuzahri bin Jalaluddin, Director of Johor Heritage Foundation.

He added that Pentas Seni Johor will also serve as a key platform for local artists to showcase their talents and connect with a broader audience.
