Tauhu Begedil
Prep and cook time: 1 hour 30 minutes, serves: 4 pax
Ingredients:
3 potatoes
1 can yumeat Plant-based Luncheon Meat Original 190g (cut into small cubes)
1/2 cup fried onions
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp of white pepper powder
2 spring onions
Salt & seasoning powder to taste
Other ingredients:
1 packet of dried tofu
2 eggs (optional)
Soy sauce ingredients (Grind all the ingredients):
15 bird’s eye chilies (mix of red and green)
3 garlic cloves
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp of sugar
1-2 tablespoons of lime juice
Method:
1.First, fry the potatoes.
- At the same time prepare the soy sauce by blending all the items together in a blender – keep aside.
- Next, mash the fried potatoes and then add in all the other ingredients. Mix well.
- Stuff the potato mixture into the dry tofu.
- Beat the egg and coat the stuffed tofu, and fry the stuffed tofu until golden.
- Strain and it’s ready to serve with soy sauce.
