Chef Artha Parama of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali

Aptly named Taste of Bali, The Westin Desaru Coast Resort is delighted to welcome Chef Artha Parama of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Fondly known as Rama, Chef Rama is a passionate culinary artist with over 10 years of experience in the food industry. Born and raised in Bali, Chef Rama’s love for cooking began at a young age, watching his grandfather create delicious meals for the family on every occasion of Balinese ceremony. This inspired him to pursue a career in cooking and upon completion of his culinary training, he went on to hone his skills by working at several renowned resorts across Maldives, and Bali.

Throughout his career, Chef Rama has developed a signature style that blends classic techniques with modern flavours, creating dishes which are both familiar and innovative. He sources only the freshest ingredients, using mainly Bali indigenous spices. His expertise in Balinese and Indonesian cuisine is sure to delight even the most discerning palate.

Diners will be treated to a wide array of Balinese dishes with three menus on rotation daily.

Beef Rendang – Angus

Orders of the day include Beef Rendang – Angus, Lawar Klungah, Nasi Kuning Uluwatu, Ayam Betutu, Sapi Bumbu Bali, Karee Ayam Bali, Tempe Bacem, Nyat-Nyat and Lak Lak.

Other delicious Balinese fare includes Urap Sayur, Balung Sapi, Nasi Uduk Kuta, Ayam Panggang Sambal Matah, Ayam Lengkuas, Udang Bakar Jimbaran, Bubur Sum Sum, Ongol-Ongol and Lupis.

Ayam Betutu

Located by the coast, Seasonal Tastes accommodates 120 diners, with outdoor seating for an additional 36 diners. The restaurant also has a semi-private dining room for 10 people, the perfect setting for small private events. Seasonal Tastes highlight the best of Malaysian, regional and international fare. The all-day dining restaurant feature live action stations for diners to watch their orders being prepared for them. Diners can also look forward to a featured selection from Westin’s Signature Eat Well Programme – part of the brand’s Six Pillars of Wellbeing.

Signature a la carte menu is available daily for lunch between 12noon to 2.30pm, with buffet dinner served from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at RM168nett/adult and RM84nett/child.
