The Ministry of Health and the Johor Health Department has received donations of medical equipment in an ongoing effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 worth more than RM28 million from Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ) in collaboration with Yayasan Temasek from Singapore that involves various medical equipment for use in government hospitals in treating patients.
According to the Facebook post from His Majesty, Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar official page, His Majesty presented the contribution to the Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin at Istana Pasir Pelangi, Johor Bahru on the 5th of March.
Present during the handover was His Royal Highness Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim Tunku Mahkota of Johor. Also present were, Johor Health Director, Dato’ Dr Aman Rabu and YSIJ Managing Trustee, Dato’ Avinderjit Singh.
The contribution includes 400 non-invasive ventilators (BIPAP) costing more than RM8 million, and the Johor Health Department received various medical equipment worth more than RM10 million for the Ministry of Health while the Johor Health Department received face shields, KN95 face mask, ventilator, dialysis machine, mobile swabbing, and BIPAP.
Several additional medical types of equipment have already been presented to the Johor Health Department the statement concluded.
