The word bazaar has become synonymous with the fasting month, where lines of food are offered to break the fast.
Pulai Springs Resort, since 2023, presents their buka puasa buffet with bazaar concept in their golf resort, Bufet ala Bazar.
Every year, there are different menus but the hit ones stay, so if you missed the taste of Nasi Arab ala Pulai, the Asam Pedas and Masak Lemak, Nasi Lemak Daun Pisang, and the refreshing Coconut Shake, don’t worry, they are still available at this delectable food adventure.
After I’ve parked my car at their vast, complimentary parking area, I was elated to see the Pulai Springs Specialist Centre, located just beside the buffet bazaar, has come to materialise nicely. A few steps after the building, it’s the Gleneagles Terrace Restaurant and you’ve immediately arrived at the buffet ala bazaar!
Once the food hunt was on, I went ahead to stroll and pick up my choice of food. It had got to be the Sup Tulang Merah and glad to have it paired with Mantou buns! The crispy outside, fluffy inside with a hint of sweetness, and tiny buns are perfect for my bowl of stew.
This year, the bazaar presents their version of Nasi Padang! It’s close to authentic Indonesian favourites, offering different balado (peppered/chillied) dishes and even having the crisps that go well with the Indonesian cuisine – A very exciting feature.
If you’d like some European taste, the Pasta cooking stall is there to satiate your needs, especially the children, and for those adventurous, there is a Korean stall offering Korean Fried Chicken of spicy Gochujang sauce and honeyed ones, with rice cakes or Tteokbokki drenched in the delectable sauce for those family members who have Korean wave fever.

What I love about this bazaar is most of the dishes are cooked live, so my meals stay piping hot while waiting for the call to break the fast. The Durian Goreng is on its own category, where everyone needs to be quick on their feet to get some or it would be gone in no time despite being fried continuously!
Remember to go inside the restaurant for cut fruits, sweet and savoury porridges like the Bubur Gandum, Bubur Kacang, endless French pastries, including some lovely muffins for picky eaters (those little ones!) and, of course, local Kuih muih.
Patrons have the added luxury of being able to watch movies beneath the sparkling night sky with the aid of a remarkably expansive AirScreen (large screen), all while indulging in the delectable taste of newly popped, mouth-watering popcorn from the popcorn counter.
For the convenience of guests, a designated prayer room for Maghrib prayers will be available during the promotion period.
