Lincotec Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. marked the groundbreaking of its new advanced semiconductor technology manufacturing facility at Senai Airport City Free Zone, Senai, Johor. The development represents Linco Technology Co., Ltd.’s first manufacturing investment in ASEAN and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening the semiconductor supply chain.
The facility will be built on approximately 10 acres of industrial land and represents a significant long term capital investment by the Linco Technology Group to establish a strategic manufacturing base in Southeast Asia, supporting supply-chain resilience and regional capacity building.
Upon completion, the plant will focus on thin-film sputtering and dry plasma etching process tools and manufacturing system, supporting advanced semiconductor processes. It aims to strengthen manufacturing capacity, process integration, and operational scalability for customers across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific market.
Lincotec Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Linco Technology Co., Ltd., headquartered in Taiwan. Established in 1999, Linco Technology specialises in sputtering and plasma applications and is globally recognised as the world’s No.1 supplier of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding sputtering equipment for semiconductor System-in-Package (SiP) applications. Its technology solutions are widely adopted by OSAT, IDM, and EMS companies, with end applications spanning 5G smartphones, wearable devices, satellite communications, artificial intelligence, and next-generation electronics.

By advancing dry process technologies and high-precision equipment manufacturing, the project supports resource-efficient and environmentally responsible semiconductor production, in line with Senai Airport City’s objectives to promote green and high-value industries.

Senai Airport City offers well-established industrial infrastructure and seamless connectivity to key highways and ports, providing a strategic platform for export-oriented, advanced manufacturing. Senai Airport City supports anchor industries in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Electrical & Electronics (AE&E), EV automotive, and medical devices industries, generating approximately 30,000 jobs and attracting RM9 billion in investments to-date, with several more agreements to be concluded with several FDIs in the first half of this year.
The groundbreaking marks an important milestone in Linco Technology’s global expansion strategy and highlights its commitment to Malaysia, Johor, and the sustainable growth of the semiconductor sector.
